Who We Are

The CHAI Chapter of FMCA was born in 2004 of the desire by a few Jewish FMCA members to establish a way for Jewish motor coach owners to meet one another and have the opportunity to develop friendships during their travels.

From a small nucleus the CHAI Chapter has grown rapidly. By the end of the March, 2005 FMCA International Rally in Perry, Georgia there were more than 150 paid members. As of the St. Paul 2008 rally our membership reached 180. And, we continue to grow.

The CHAI Chapter has official business meetings at FMCA International Rallies. At these and the many FMCA regional rallies the chapter is assigned a meeting room for Friday afternoons where we meet, mingle and usually have a Shabbat service. After the Shabbat service and sometimes on a different day, members will get together and caravan to a local restaurant for dinner. On other occasions a potluck dinner will is held in the assigned meeting room.

Oh! I almost forgot Happy Hour! Usually, sometime around 4 o'clock in the afternoon, you can find several members cloistered under awnings enjoying the outdoors sipping liquid refreshments and munching on potluck snacks.

If you are a Jewish member of our FMCA family, please consider membership in the CHAI Chapter. Follow the links to the membership application and, by all means, explore the website. It, like CHAI, is a work in progress.
